Information
If you are looking to stay in the centre of
Lisbon, close to a Metro station then this is
the apartment for you. Furthermore, this is a
romantic duplex apartment with traditional wood
furnishings and modern equipment that will
provide everything you need for your stay. And
with a very special double bed which provides
supremely comfortable nights under the large
skylight windows of the attic. Please
note that this apartment is located on the third
floor of a central building with no
lift/elevator, like the majority of buildings in
this area. On the lower floor of the apartment
there is a living room with kitchenette, a
dining area and the bathroom. The living area contains a
comfortable double sofa-bed which easily folds
out and provides sleeping space for 2 guests.
There is a flat-screen TV with cable channels
and a wi-fi router for the free Internet
connection. A coffee table, shelves, fold-out
table and 2 high chairs complete the furniture
here (see photos). The
modern kitchenette is fully-equipped with all
you need for your stay: washing machine,
dish-washer, fridge & freezer, toaster, kettle,
coffee-maker, oven, vitro-ceramic hob, automatic
water-heater and all the necessary plates,
cutlery, pots and pans and other kitchen
utensils. The bathroom contains a
hydro-massage shower, wash-basin and large
window for plenty of natural light.
Dividing the living room from the dining area is
a large wooden frame called a "gaiola" which
formed part of the original building structure.
In the dining area itself there is a table and 4
chairs for your meals. The bedroom is
located on the top floor of this attic apartment
and is a spacious room whose central feature is
the amazing double bed which measures 2.20
metres diameter. The room is plenty of natural
light which streams in from 2 large skylight
windows which when opened provide excellent
views of the city.
We provide clean sheets and towels for all our guests, and also free high-speed wi-fi Internet.
Location
This apartment is located right
in the centre of Lisbon, just 150 metres from
the central Martim Moniz square where there is a
convenient Metro station. This square is also
served by several buses and also the famous
Number 28 Tram.
It is just 2 minutes walk from
Martim Moniz to the apartment, up some stairs
and along a cobbled pedestrian alley, in this
traditional Mouraria neighbourhood where they
say Fado was born.
The area has plenty of bars, restaurants and
shops, and from here you can walk to the central
Rossio square and downtown shopping area in 5
minutes. In the Martim Moniz
square itself you can fin the "Centro Comercial
Martim Moniz" shopping mall and many other
establishments.
The Convento do Carmen ruins and the Elevador de
Santa Justa iron elevator are within walking
distance, and the Metro takes you to wherever
else you want to visit in the city.
