Apartment
Information
This charming apartment is the place to stay for
that traditional Lisbon sensation. It is a
duplex, with lower and upper floor, and is
located in the very heart of the wonderful Old
Town district of Alfama. The apartment has a
very special round bed and also a double
sofa-bed and therefore accommodates a maximum of
4 persons. This duplex apartment is
located on the 2nd floor of a typical
white-washed Alfama
building with no lift/elevator in the centre of
Lisbon. The lower floor contains the entrance
hall, bathroom, living room and kitchenette.
The living room has a comfortable double
sofa-bed for 2 guests, coffee table and
flat-screen TV with cable channels. There is
also free wi-fi Internet if you bring your
laptop. The kitchen area is fully-equipped with
washing machine, vitro-ceramic hob, microwave,
fridge, toaster, kettle, Moka coffee-pot, and a
dining table with 4 stools. The bathroom has
been decorated with clean, modern blue tiles and
contains a shower, wash-basin and small window
looking out towards the river. A wooden
staircase leads you to the upper floor, and
half-way up there is a small storage space which
comes in very handy to store your bags and
suitcases. Once upstairs we see the wonderful
round-bed which is almost as spectacular as the
incredible views afforded by the large skylight
in the attic roof. Here we can look out on to
Alfama's rooftops and across to the River Tagus.
We provide clean sheets and towels for all our guests, and also free high-speed wi-fi Internet.
Location
The location is wonderful for
those of our guests wanting to visit Alfama with
its romantic viewpoints, the Cathedral or the
Castle, since it is within a few minutes walking
distance of all this and more.
Right in the very heart of Lisbon's Old Town
district, just 100 metres from the wonderful "Portas
do Sol" viewpoint, this is the
perfect base for your sightseeing.
The Alfama automated carpark is
just 100 metres from the apartment, and if
you're coming in a private or rented car, we can
offer you a free parking space here,
which is particularly useful here in the centre
of town. The famous Number 28 tram
stops here at the Portas do Sol area also, and
serves as convenient public transport to go up
or down the hill towards the Plaça do Comercio
and beyond.
